We recently enjoyed a fabulous stay! The food was delicious, especially the varied evening menu, and the comfortable bed made our nights perfect. The park and ride convenience into York is a huge plus!

The staff was attentive and decent - I will be back. Staff and location were good, overall the hotel was pleasant and fairly clean. The room was stunning and cosy when upgraded with a garden view, the tea and shower. The restaurant was magnificent for Evening meal, loved it.

Friendliness, cleanliness and proximity to park-and-ride
Bedrooms were onlu just 4 star standard. Dinner on first night was disappointing (meat tough and potatoes tasteless)

The fact that there was a park and ride close by to go into the city.
Could have been more staff behind the bar. Had to wait a long time to get a drink especially as there was a wedding there as well. The woman behind the bar was proberbly not the best person to work behind there. She was to slow.

enjoyable stay but some improvements needed
The brasserie offered a well-cooked meal that exceeded my expectations. All staff presented themselves as enthusiastic and willing to help, which reflected well on the hospitality.
The room lacked some necessary amenities that would have enhanced comfort.

Good buffet breakfast. Comfortable bed.
The rooms have had a cheap makeover - only 1 bedside table, wardrobe doors don't quite shut and there was no shower gel. A view over the dirty washing bins.

We selected the hotel due to its proximity to York and the availability of family rooms. The rooms were large enough for a family and the staff were helpful and friendly. If the hotel had a swimming pool it would have put the icing on the cake but we knew this was not available at the time of booking. Very enjoyable stay anyway.

The staff were friendly and generally helpful - it was a nice setting and we were able to have a room only basis.
The bed was quite uncomfortable and the room was really warm despite there being no heating on.The window opened but the noise from either generators (or whatever) from the hotel made it quite noisy - however, a fan was supplied which made it a bit more bearable. The hotel was too far from York City centre and although there was a park and ride not far away it was a decent walk to the depot which may be difficult for some people - unfortunately the Park and Ride finished at 8pm and taxi's cost approx £11 each way in and out of York so it made it quite costly going to and from York each day.We are Vegetarian and there was no vegetarian cooked breakfast on offer that we could see - however, we were pleased to see that there were a few veggie options on the room service menu.
